Iyad Barakat M.D., is a graduate of Emory University School of Medicine in 2003. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, Medical Association of Georgia, Renal Physicians Association and National kidney Foundation.
 
 
Dr. Barakat is currently the chairman of the Department of Subspecialty at Houston Medical Center and the director of Warner Robins Dialysis Center, ARA. He holds Privileges at three Davita clinics, two FMC dialysis centers and the local American Renal Associates dialysis centers.  He is also a board member of Central Georgia Medical Care Network and a voting board member of Central Georgia Accountable Care Coalition.
 
Dr. Iyad Barakat continues to have an active clinical practice in multiple locations including Warner Robins, Perry, Fort Valley and Hawkensville. He also participates in the teaching of medical students and residents at Houston Medical Center. His main clinical interests are Diabetic Kidney Disease, Kidney Transplant, Chronic Kidney Disease, End Stage Renal Disease, Hypertension and Glumerulonephritis.
